Step-by-Step Tutorial
Cut fabric pieces
Pin each pattern piece on single layered fabric and cut one of each.
Attach the Nail
Place the nail at the top of the finger top fabric and stitch along the bottom.
Sew the stitches.
Using black crochet thread and needle, sew “stitches” to the top hand as desired.
Sew the Darts
Fold each dart with fabric right sides together on the top finger piece and stitch closed to give the finger its rounded shape.
With fabric right sides together, pin and stitch the dart at the top of the bottom finger.
With fabric right sides together, fold along the hole in the center. Pin and stitch along the outside of the hole.
Join Top & Bottom Finger
Stitch the top finger piece to the bottom finger piece all the way around, leaving the bottom open.
Add the Bottom Cap
Sew the bottom cap piece to the finger, leaving a small opening.
Turn & Stuff
Turn the finger right side out.
Stuff with polyfill until firm but bendable.
Close the Finger
Hand stitch the opening closed with a ladder stitch.
Fabric Suggestions
Finger Flesh: Fleece, felt, or flannel (pale, grey, or zombie-green shades are extra spooky).

Suggested Add-Ons
💀 A few drops of red fabric paint for “blood” at the base.
🧛 Add a spooky nail polish effect with metallic or glow-in-the-dark fabric paint.
🎃 Place inside a trick-or-treat bowl for jump scares!
FAQs
Q: Can I make different sizes?
Yes! Print the pattern at different scales—smaller for witch fingers, larger for monster claws.
Q: How do I make the finger bend more realistically?
The oval hole in the bottom piece allows for a bend. You can also insert a thin wire inside before stuffing.
Q: What’s the best way to get a “bloody” look?
Use red fabric paint or a dab of hot glue mixed with red acrylic paint.
Q: Can I hand sew instead of machine sewing?
Yes!
