Frequently Asked Questions
We know starting a new project is exciting — and sometimes you have a few questions before you dive in. Here are answers to the ones we get most often!
Can I access my digital purchases from my account?
Absolutely! Your patterns are ready in your account immediately after purchase. Your download link will stay active for 24 hours after you first open it. If it expires, don’t panic — when you try to access it again, our system will send you a fresh link.
For step-by-step help, visit our Pattern Download Info page.
What if my download link has expired?
Easy fix! Try accessing your pattern again and a new link will be sent automatically. If it’s still being stubborn, email us at sewcutepatterns@gmail.com with your order number, and we’ll reactivate it for you faster than you can thread a needle.
I’m having trouble downloading my files.
Let’s troubleshoot:
Nothing happens when you click? Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge work best).
File says it’s corrupted? Delete it and download again.
Can’t open it? You might need Adobe Reader (free download here).
Only part of the page is showing? It might be a browser issue or your computer’s memory. Try saving the file first, then opening it directly from your computer to print.
Still no luck? Email us at sewcutepatterns@gmail.com and we’ll help you get stitching.
Do you offer paper patterns?
Not right now — all of our patterns are digital PDFs. That way you can download instantly, start sewing today, and there’s no waiting for the mailman (or worrying about bent envelopes).
What skill level are your patterns?
Each listing tells you the recommended skill level (Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, etc.). Many are beginner-friendly and include step-by-step photos so you can follow along with confidence.
Do your patterns include seam allowance?
Yes! Seam allowance is already included unless we say otherwise, and the instructions will tell you exactly what it is.
What supplies will I need?
Every pattern has a supply list so you can gather everything before you start. Many supplies are linked in the pattern for easy shopping.
Can I sell what I make?
Yes — you can sell small quantities of items you’ve handmade from our patterns, as long as you credit “Sew Cute Patterns” as the designer. Mass production or factory manufacturing isn’t allowed.
Can I share, resell, or give away the pattern?
Nope — patterns are for personal use only. You’re welcome to gift the finished plushies you sew, but the pattern itself is just for you.
Do you offer refunds on digital patterns?
Because they’re instant downloads, we can’t offer refunds once a pattern has been downloaded. Please read the listing carefully before purchasing.
Do you offer custom designs?
Not at the moment, but we love hearing your ideas! If there’s a plush you’d like to see in our shop, send us a note — it might just show up in a future collection.
What format are the patterns in?
All patterns are PDFs. You can open them on most devices with Adobe Reader (free download here) and print them on standard letter-sized paper.
Do the patterns include step-by-step instructions?
Always! Each one comes with detailed instructions and plenty of photos to guide you from the first snip to the final stitch.
Tips for Printing Your Pattern 🖨️
Use Actual Size or 100% scale in your print settings (don’t select “Fit to Page”).
Print a test square first to make sure your measurements are accurate.
Use plain printer paper for the pattern pieces.
For extra pattern life, trace pieces onto template plastic or freezer paper before cutting your fabric.
