Step 2: Cut Out the Fabric
Pin the paper pattern to the fleece fabric and cut 28 circles in colors desired. Poke a hole in the center of each dot on the paper pattern with a large needle. On each fabric circle, make a mark in the center of each hole.
Then cut out four slashes at the location of each mark with the tip of a pair of scissors.
Step 3: Assemble the Ball Pieces
You will create 4 sets of fabric bundles. Each bundle will include 7 folded fabric pieces.
Fold each fabric circle in half (between the four holes) and then fold in half again, lining up the holes in the center.
Stack 7 pieces and insert one of the zip ties into the center. Zip to secure. Trim the excess zip tie.
3. Repeat with another set of 7 fabric pieces but before zipping closed, insert the end of the zip tie under the zip tie of the first ball already made, securing them together.
4. Repeat with a third and fourth set of 7 fabric pieces, securing all 4 together with the zip ties.
