Meet Phil: VP of Unexpected Opportunities (and Buttons)

Every sewing room has that one helper.

The one who shows up exactly when you drop a box of buttons.
The one who insists that every pin cushion is a personal climbing wall.
The one who somehow creates more cleanup than the mess you started with….

Meet Phil.

Officially, Phil serves as Sew Cute Patterns' Vice President of Unexpected Opportunities. Unofficially...he's the reason we can no longer leave jars of buttons unattended.

Phil's Latest Performance Review

Today's assignment was simple:

"Please help tidy up the sewing room."

Phil heard: "Scatter every button across the table to make sure none of them are lonely."

Mission accomplished. Not only did he organize the buttons into what he called a creative color gradient, but he also thoughtfully modeled several of them as fashionable accessories. Apparently yellow is his color.

Then Came the Pins...

Just when we thought things couldn't get any more interesting, Phil discovered the pin cushion.

Five minutes later...

He looked less like a helpful assistant and more like a tiny gray porcupine who had wandered into the wrong department.

Fortunately, Phil is plush and suffered nothing more than a bruised ego and a stern lecture from Gary the spider.

Gary the Spider: "Phil...why are there pins in your face?"

Phil the Rat: "I was inventorying them.”

Gary: "We're going to have another safety meeting."

Gary's Safety Tip of the Day 🕷️

"Pins belong in pin cushions. Buttons belong in jars. Phil belongs at least three feet away from both."

Gary has requested this reminder be posted permanently in the sewing room. Human Resources is still reviewing the incident.

Phil's Official Statement

When asked if he had learned anything from today's events, Phil replied: "The buttons were having a meeting. I was networking."

We're not convinced.
